The Fight for Your HIPAA Privacy Starts Here

The Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) has a huge loophole and every American citizen is at risk.  Your privacy has been breached since 1996 and continues to be breached on a daily basis.

The fight starts with us as American citizens standing up and letting our lawmakers know that we will not stand for their oversight on this any longer.  The government is turning a blind eye to your safety and we must bring it to their attention.

As Americans we should have Americans handling our private information.  Every time you go to see your health provider, your personal data is shared with medical transcriptionists overseas.  Why?  Because they do the job for pennies.  Simply stated, Greed is the powerhouse behind your privacy being breached every single time you fill out your information in the waiting room and speak to your doctor in the privacy of the examination room.

The Loophole:
You go see the doctor for an ailment of some sort and he/she helps your diagnosis.  They go back and dictate your visit, including your personal information that is provided on your intake form that you filled out.  That voice file of dictation gets sent out to a transcription company through a secure server and a trained and HIPAA-certified medical transcriptionist types up, verbatim, what the health care provider dictates about you and enters it into your electronic medical record (EMR).  The problem is that now most transcription companies are based in other, unsecured countries, where the transcriptionist gets paid very little for their work and has access to everything about you.  We need to close this loophole and bring that information back to U.S. soil and back into the hands of American citizens to ensure accountability of your privacy.  If a United States citizen medical transcriptionist breaks HIPAA law, they get prosecuted.  What do you think they will do if someone in another part of the world who took your information and used it malevolently?  Law enforcement would have a very hard time holding them accountable and bring them to justice.

What you can do:
Take a stand.  Tell your doctors that you will not have your information shared, whether securely or not, to a medical transcriptionist in another country.  Be firm and don’t back down.  Tell everyone you know about what is happening and how it works.  Refer them here.  Write your congressman, your senators, your mayor, your governor, anyone in power that will listen.  We need to Unite and put an end to this.

A Pledge to Bring Jobs Back to the USA

U.S. Citizens doing the work for U.S. Citizens

There are approximately 1.5 million physicians and healthcare providers in the United States.  Of those, more than half are outsourcing home-based virtual jobs to other countries, which is a national security risk and also taking money out of the pockets of our citizens.

With this movement we intend to amend/reform/overhaul HIPAA (Health Information Portability and Accountability Act) to make sure that our privacy as patients is kept here on U.S. soil and accountability can be held to the highest standard of care.

Lets Do The Numbers:
1.5 million physician and healthcare providers and half (750,000) outsource to other countries.
750,000 physician and healthcare providers and each medical transcriptionist can handle at maximum 3-4 physicians and/or healthcare providers, which equals out to a minimum of 187,500 to 250,000 jobs that can be filled immediately with the amendment of HIPAA.
These jobs would be available for so many that have needed to go back to work and have pride in earning a living, those who need help to get away from the “system” and be independent once again.

What You Can Do:
Write your congressman, your senator, your governor, your mayor, and the White House! Take a stand and take back our jobs and ultimately our privacy.

HIPAA Amendment needed now!

What this means to Americans:

Keep our citizens’ information secure.

Bring thousands of jobs back to our country.

Bring the unemployment rate back down.

Battle COVID-19 by renewing 100,000+ virtual jobs.

Give opportunities for people to work at home
(virtual job) so daycare is no longer a burden.

Help get hundreds, if not thousands, of people off of Welfare and Unemployment, which will in turn build them back up to wanting to work for a living and feeling proud.

Boost our economy and keep America’s money on American soil.

AMERICA’S ECONOMY STALLED IN THE WAKE OF COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS BEING LIFTED

Every American has suffered over the last five months in one way or another from the COVID-19 pandemic. We all have had to readjust how we school our children, how to manage our jobs virtually (if we are lucky enough to), how and what bills will be able to be paid with the little stimulus check that came out to us, and how we will survive going forward.

As the restrictions are lessened, we are still on alert of threatening second and third waves of this virus, which means options of working from home for ourselves and distance learning for our children will be given and heavily suggested. This would be available to most, but not all.

We here at MTMU want to give peace of mind for Americans. This cannot be stressed hard enough: There are 100,000+ virtual jobs sitting overseas that can be done by Americans for Americans, but there is a loophole that needs to be closed in order to bring the financial stability, economic growth, personal security, and peace of mind back home to our soil.

WHAT YOU CAN DO TO HELP…

Be part of the growing voice behind MTMU. Join our Facebook page, Instagram page, and Twitter and stand up to be counted. We will be adding an official petition soon that Rachel Caruso (Founder of MTMU) will be taking to her Senators in Arizona to show that this is something that has to happen sooner rather than later.
